Dr. Melissa Lindow
Dr. Melissa Lindow, optometrist, attended the University of California, Riverside, where she studied biology for her undergraduate degree. She completed her optometry degree at Southern California College of Optometry and maintained a scholarship for all four years. During her fourth year of training, Dr. Lindow honed her ocular disease and contact lens training skills at George Wahlen VA Medical Center and Moran Eye Center of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her training in pediatrics and specialty contact lenses continued at University Eye Center, Los Angeles, and Invision Optometry, San Diego, California. Dr. Lindow is particularly interested in vision therapy and pediatric vision care, an area of optometry that SCCO emphasizes. This interest is inspired by her own experience as a vision therapy patient. Dr. Lindow graduated in 2023 as a Doctor of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometry Association.
She was born and raised in Temecula, California, and attended Chaparral High School. She loves this area and community and is privileged to live close to her six siblings and their families. Dr. Lindow enjoys quaint coffee shops, the beach, hot yoga, and spending time with her family. She prides herself on serving her community and volunteering in the Sunridge Community Church Preschool Ministry and Lions Club.
